This week, The Law Enforcement Torch Run (LETR) traversed Vermont through border crossings and small towns to bustling downtowns, schools, marine routes with the Flame of Hope in a statewide relay that celebrates inclusion, community, and the spirit of Special Olympics athletes. The event is the largest grassroots fundraising and public awareness initiative for Special Olympics, and passed through Bennington, Arlington, and Manchester on Tuesday. The journey culminates at the Summer Games, where the Flame of Hope symbolizes the shared commitment to inclusion and the unbreakable spirit of Special Olympics athletes.
