Taylor Swift encouraged fans to “make the friendship bracelets, take the moment and taste it” in her Midnights track, “You’re on Your Own, Kid,” and Swifties did just that.

Trading colorful, beaded friendship bracelets has officially become a fun activity for attendees of Swift’s sweeping Eras stadium tour, with fans taking to social media to show off their arms full of fun bracelets that make references to various Swift songs, album eras, inside jokes among fans and lyrics.

While how the trend started seems to be in direct reference to the lyrics of Swift’s Midnights track, the multi-Grammy winner also shared an arm full of friendship bracelets to Instagram in 2019, leading up to the release of her Lover album. Her bracelets included references to her love of cats (including her youngest feline Benjamin Button), her 2008 album Fearless, support for the LGBTQIA+ community and, of course, Lover.

The trend has become so widespread just two months into the tour, that even celebrities have been joining in on the fun. Everyone from Sabrina Carpenter, Gigi Hadid and Jennifer Lawrence to Nicole Kidman, Keith Urban, Aaron Dessner and even Swift herself have been spotted accepting friendship bracelets from Swifties, and have even taken to social media to show off their colorful arm candy.

In honor of the friendship bracelets that have taken over the Eras tour, we’ve compiled all of the best moments featuring the trend, including celebrity participants and some seriously creative references. See them below.

In honor of Swift heading to the home of the Chicago Bears, Soldier Field, in June, one punny Swiftie honored both the singer and the football team by showing off her clever “Chicago B-eras Tour” bracelent.

“Thank you to all the Swifties for our friendship bracelets,” Kidman captioned an Instagram Story showing off the famous couple’s arms, decked in colorful, beaded masterpieces.

JLaw was happily chatting with fans at Philadelphia’s Lincoln Financial Field, as she accepted a number of cute bracelets.

“You guys have been through a lot tonight,” Swift told the crowd at Nashville’s Nissan Stadium after the rainy show was delayed for hours due to lightning strikes. “We all look like we were sprayed by a garden hose. We all look like river otters.”
Of course, the moment was memorialized with a bracelet.

The “Nonsense” singer was spotted by fans enjoying one of the Philly shows, her hands decked in arm candy.

Yes, even Swift herself got in on the fun. While handing out her “22” hat to a fan in the crowd, she received a friendship bracelet in return, which she happily accepted.

While most people were focused on the relationship between Swift and The 1975’s Matty Healy when they were photographed stepping out in NYC together, one eagle-eyed Swiftie noticed that the superstar’s security guard was rocking a bracelet in the paparazzi photos.

Swift is the queen of Easter Eggs, so she sent fans into a frenzy with a 2019 Instagram post looking through a fence. Why were there five holes in the fence? Does it mean something? What about her glasses.
“I really just was trying to change up my Instagram aesthetic to get ready for the new album,” Taylor told Carrie & Tommy, referring to her brightly-colored Lover album. “I was just like posting pastel pictures to try to go from a dark to a light and show them what the color scheme would be for the next album.”

The Heartstopper actor showed off his bracelets on his Instagram Stories.

Swift’s musical collaborator got a personalized bracelet from fans who celebrated his work on 2020’s Evermore. “Thank you to the sweet person who gave me these,” he captioned a photo of the bracelets that read, “Long Live” and “Evermore.”

One committed Swiftie created bracelets of the entire three-hour setlist.

During night two of her Eras Tour stop at Philadelphia’s Lincoln Financial Field, the pop star seemingly defended a fan from a security guard during her “Bad Blood” performance. “She’s fine! She wasn’t doing anything!” she’s heard shouting between song lyrics. She then shouted, “Hey! Stop!” before continuing on with the performance.
Of course, one fan turned the viral moment into a friendship bracelet.

Besides rocking out all night long to all of Swift’s hits, Hadid sweetly accepted a bracelet from a four-year-old fan during one of the Nashville shows.

“Best memories from last night,” the actress captioned her slew of friendship bracelets.

The 13 Going on 30 actress was the ultimate Swiftie at the Eras Tour stop in Kansas City, Missouri, showing off both arms covered up to her elbows in colorful bracelets.
“And our minds are still blown by the generosity of spirit, ferocity and stamina of Taylor Swift,” she captioned a post from the event. “Shout out to @whereismuna, to everyone who stopped by to bring a bracelet and say hello, to stealing a couple of hours with my bestie Laura, to Kansas City for your warmth and enthusiasm and—to us for lucking into the unofficial release party of both Speak Now (Taylor’s Version) and the music video for ‘I Can See You.'”
