Strictly Come Dancing is the long-running entertainment show on BBC1. It has made household names out of many of the professional dancers including Kevin Clifton, Giovanni Pernice, Alijaz Skorjanec, Amy Dowden, Oti Mabuse and Janette Manrara. The 2023 winner was Eastenders actress Ellie Leach. The contestants for 2024 tend to be announced over the summer before the show begins again in September.
