Years after witnessing the death of the revered hero Maximus at the hands of his uncle, Lucius is forced to enter the Colosseum after his home is conquered by the tyrannical Emperors who now lead Rome with an iron fist. It�s been reported that a sequel or a prequel to 2000�s �Gladiator� has been in some form of development since 2001. And why wouldn�t the producers want to try their luck again? The film was not only a major success at the box office, but the summer release managed to claim five Academy Awards, including Best Actor (Russell Crowe) and Best Picture.
