Someone is trying to blackmail Jane Johnson, wife of successful politician Ralph Johnson, sending cryptic letters that hint of serious indiscretions in her past. Having only known his wife a short time before marrying, Mr. Johnson hires PI Stuart Bailey to see if he can find anything that might actually give the blackmailer leverage. But the deeper down the rabbit hole Bailey goes, the more mysterious and elusive the identity of Mrs. Johnson becomes.
