Allison (Sybil Temchen) and Kat (Jami Gertz) roomed together in college. Now, Allison has a near-perfect life as a popular furniture designer, while Kat has turned into a streetwise drug addict. When Allison sees Kat, she offers to let her old friend room with her until she gets back on her feet. Soon, however, Kat learns that Allison got her start by copying a chair Kat designed.
