When Flower Belle Lee (West) is accused of having a relationship with a mysterious Masked Bandit, she is forced to leave her home town, Little Bend and move to Greasewood City. On the train she meets Cuthbert J. Twillie (Fields), a con man who conspires with Flower to fake a marriage in order to gain 'respectability'. When the pair arrive in Greasewood City, Twillie, by chance, becomes sheriff of the town. But the man who appointed him, town boss Jeff Badger (Joseph Calleia), has an ulterior motive.
