This class-conscious melodrama stars Barbara Stanwyck as Kitty, a waitress who falls in love with wealthy college student Dave (Regis Toomey) despite opposition from his high society mother (Clara Blandick). After being sent to a female reformatory on a trumped-up morals charge, Kitty reinvents herself as a showgirl but finds her love for Dave undiminished when they meet again six years later.
