It's 2013, and mass murderer Ivan Zhilin has finally been brought to justice for his crimes. Found guilty, Ivan is given a choice of two punishments -- life in prison, or exile to an island in the arctic where he'll stay with a few hundred other condemned men. Ivan chooses life on the island, and he's shipped off to Terra Nova with fellow criminal Nikolai, with whom he strikes up a wary friendship. While Terra Nova was supposed to be stocked with provisions for the prisoners, animals have found and eaten most of the food, and as the desperate men struggle for survival they separate into gangs ...(more)
