There's a lot riding on Transformers: Dark of the Moon. For one, it's the epic conclusion to a trilogy of films that have made an obscene amount of cash (themselves really expensive off-shoots of a calculated, synergistic marketing strategy designed chiefly to sell toys). For another, it seems to be the one film that could potential bring 3D back from the brink � all summer moviegoers have been preferring to watch their favorite multi-dimensional blockbuster flat (and it looks like more tickets are being pre-ordered for the flat version of Harry Potter, too).
