Nida Yasir has been a household name in Pakistan for the last 14 years, hosting her popular morning show with unmatched energy and charm. Over the years, her show has become one of the most-watched programmes, as she continues to engage audiences with a variety of topics and celebrity appearances. Speaking about her journey, Nida reflected on some of her challenges but emphasised that her background helped shield her from criticism.
A Smooth Sailing Journey
Being asked if she ever had hardships during her career, Nida said she never experienced significant problems. She credited respect received from the industry to her father, who was the director of PTV channel once upon a time. “No one said such things to me directly, but I did hear whispers behind my back, like, ‘She’s starting so late.’ Ironically, the same people would have their collars unbuttoned while making such remarks,” Nida shared. Despite this, she remained focused and never let negativity affect her work.

The Guests Who Top Her List
During a conversation with Ahmed Ali Butt, Nida was asked to name her top three favourite guests. Her response surprised many as she revealed, “The guest who brings top ratings is always my favourite.” Explaining further, she added that the guest’s energy and vibe matter more than their celebrity status. “It doesn’t have to be a senior actor; even a junior artist who brings life to the show can be my favourite,” she clarified.

The Dark Side of the Industry
Nida also broached the darker side of her early career, saying how she experienced some people deliberately trying to sabotage her work. “When I was struggling, people would blink eyes at each other, clearly trying to ruin my show. But I kept my cool,” said Nida. Now, it’s all good for Nida, as she treats everybody coming on her show nicely, regardless of their behaviours.
