Zarrar Khan, who portrayed Moiz in the drama Jafa, is a name that has been in the news lately for his powerful acting. His performance, particularly in an emotional scene in which he attempted suicide, was both appreciated and criticized. While Moiz did not take pills, Seher Khan’s performance added drama to the scene. Though there was some criticism, Zarrar’s acting was highly appreciated.

The Struggles of a Newcomer

During the pandemic, Zarrar was at the very beginning of his modelling career. He says he hit a breaking point by October, admitting that he’d cry with friends about the struggle he was going through. It was all about to change though when he bagged a small role in a film. This is when he met Mahira Khan, in a meeting that changed everything for him.

Mahira Khan’s Encouragement

Zarrar remembers how Mahira Khan noted his talent and asked him if he wanted to act. He was initially taken aback, but she reassured him of her interest. And true to her word, Mahira’s manager called, and Zarrar auditioned for a role in a web series. Looking back, he remembered that he found it difficult to pronounce words in Urdu. Luckily, the script was in English, and that suited him well enough to get the job.

Zarrar thanked Mahira for her support and explained how she changed his life by guiding him to become an actor. He also shared how his family always had regard for Mahira, making this experience all the more worthwhile. For Zarrar, this was the beginning of a promising acting career, thanks to Mahira Khan.
