LEGO Legacy: Heroes Unboxed is retiring next month (original) (raw)

It’s the end of an era for another LEGO app as LEGO Legacy: Heroes Unboxed is retiring in February 2023 on almost all platforms.

On February 28, 2023, LEGO Legacy: Heroes Unboxed will be removed from the Google Play, App Store, Windows, Samsung Galaxy Store, Amazon Appstore and Huawei App Gallery. However, the game will continue to be maintained on Facebook Cloud Gaming until the end of 2023.

The announcement was made on the game’s social channels earlier today. Players can transfer their progress to the Facebook Cloud Gaming version with information on the game’s Discord server. Note that clicking the link will invite you to the server and open the Discord application, should you have it.

The mobile LEGO game features minifigures from a variety of classic and modern themes battling it out in RPG-style battles, not like those of LEGO Brawls which recently had its price halved on PC. The game is still available for free in case you want to pick it up and experience the title for yourself before the end of February arrives.

Launched in July of 2019, LEGO Legacy: Heroes Unboxed has had an interesting three years with the debut of the Ghostbusters in the game, free in-game items to keep people busy at the start of the coronavirus pandemic and a LEGO Ideas contest.

It’s not the only LEGO app to end in recent times as Hidden Side’s accompanying software has now been officially discontinued too. VIDIYO’s physical sets have also been retired but the app is being supported for another year or so yet.

LEGO has been a part of my life ever since I was young. It all started when my brother passed down 7657 AT-ST to me. It’s guided me through my early years, through school and eventually through my degree in journalism. I still have all my collection proudly on display, including my many NINJAGO sets, my favourite of all the LEGO Group’s themes. Outside of Brick Fanatics I am an avid gamer and enjoy a good game of Dungeons & Dragons.
