After two years of dating, Channing Tatum and Zoë Kravitz are celebrating a new milestone in their relationship: Multiple sources confirmed to People that the couple is recently engaged. Over the last weekend of October 2023, the duo was spotted leaving a Halloween party—where the Divergent star was dressed as Rosemary Woodhouse from the horror film _Rosemary’s Baby_—and Kravitz’s new engagement ring was on full display.

Tatum and Kravitz both worked on The Lego Batman Movie in 2017, but they didn’t officially connect until 2021 when the High Fidelity actress requested that the Magic Mike actor be in her directorial debut, Pussy Island, according to People. “[He was the one] I thought of when I wrote this character,” Kravitz admitted to Deadline at the time. While the duo was collaborating together, they had instant chemistry, a source told Us Weekly. About a month after the two were seen spending time with one another in New York City, they seemingly confirmed their relationship by showing up together at the Met Gala.

Since then, Tatum and Kravitz have maintained a pretty private relationship, and haven't been shot together in many paparazzi photos. For the first time, The Vow star talked about Kravitz in an interview, which was with Variety in February 2022. Although he didn’t refer to her as his girlfriend, he did speak highly of Kravitz as a professional in the entertainment industry. “She’s a perfectionist in the best possible way,” Tatum said. That same month, Kravitz also opened up about Tatum in an interview with Elle. She also didn’t directly address her relationship with the actor, but she did state that she was “happy” and that his work on Magic Mike secured him the role in her film.

Later that year, in August 2022, Kravitz continued the conversation around working with Tatum while speaking with The Wall Street Journal's magazine. Kravitz said she was “really grateful that this movie has brought him into my life,” referring to their creative collaboration. “When you make things with people, it’s a very sacred space,” she explained. “And when you’re compatible with somebody creatively, it often opens up other channels because you’re kind of sharing all of yourself.”

In November 2022, Kravitz gave her most revealing interview yet—the star opened up to GQ about why her relationship with Tatum works. “He makes me laugh, and we both really love art and talking about art and the exploration of why we do what we do,” she said. “We love to watch a film and break it down and talk about it and challenge each other.” Kravitz also shared that Tatum would take care of her on set, which won her over. “Whether it was making me tea or pouring me a drink or going to whip someone into shape or whatever, he really was my protector, and it was really wonderful and sweet.”
