Court TV has signed a new carriage agreement with UK free-to-air satellite platform.

The agreement adds an additional two million homes to Court TV’s viewing base.

Court TV launched in the UK market in September. Its forthcoming trials include that of Four Minneapolis police officers will be tried in the death of George Floyd, which launched a national movement on race in America; the three white men accused of murder in the death of Ahmaud Arbery, a Black man who was shot while jogging through a South Georgia neighbourhood and entertainer R. Kelly, currently in a federal prison in Chicago, who faces numerous racketeering and sex trafficking charges involving five women, with legal problems ignited by the television show Surviving R. Kelly.

The original Court TV ran in the United States for two decades to 2008, when it was rebranded as Tru TV. Katz Networks and Scripps rebooted Court TV in May 2019, saying it provided transparency into the US justice system.
