Peacock and author Elin Hilderbrand are spilling the tea: “The Five-Star Weekend” ― starring Jennifer Garner as Nantucket food blogger Hollis Shaw ― is ready.

The series, based on Hilderbrand’s book of the same name, will premiere July 9 exclusively on the streaming service, with all eight episodes available at once. Peacock released the official trailer on YouTube.

Then, on July 14 and July 16, Dreamland Film and Performing Arts Theatre on Nantucket will show the first episode, followed by a talk-back with Hilderbrand and Tim Ehrenberg, podcaster and president of the Nantucket Book Festival.

A private wine reception follows upstairs in the Harborview Room, catered by Lemon Press, a women-owned and Persian-inspired business on the island.

Tickets for the 6:30 p.m. showings on July 14 and July 16 are 43andanadditional43 and an additional 43andanadditional143 for the reception.

Hilderbrand is a #1 New York Times bestselling author of 32 novels, with most based on Nantucket where she has lived for decades. Hilderbrand is sometimes called "Queen of the Beach Reads." Her fans turned out in droves on Sept. 22, 2025 when actors Garner, Regina Hall, Chloe Sevigny, Gemma Chan and D’Arcy Carden were filming “The Five-Star Weekend” on Nantucket's Main Street. The series also stars Harlow Jane and Timothy Olyphant.

According to the Peacock website, “The Five-Star Weekend” is about Hollis Shaw, a famed cook and best-selling author who suffers a devastating loss.

“In an effort to overcome grief and find herself again, Hollis gets the idea to host a weekend away at her house in Nantucket with three friends from different stages of her life: her childhood, her twenties, thirties and one surprise fifth star … Boundaries are pushed and secrets are exposed.”

On the watch parties, Nantucket Dreamland’s website says, “Seeing it premiere in the very place it was filmed — surrounded by the community that inspired it — makes this a celebration unlike any other.”

In an Instagram post, Hilderbrand urged islanders not to dally on buying tickets,

They apparently took her advice – like her novels – to heart: Dreamland officials said tickets went on sale Thursday night and were 70% sold by Friday morning.
