Monday is Victoria Day.
That means a number of businesses and services will be closed, while others may operate on reduced hours.
Here's a partial list of what will open and what will be closed — but it’s always best to call ahead if you plan to head out.
Groceries, malls, liquor and beer stores
Lime Ridge Mall will be open Monday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Eastgate Square will be open from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Many retailers, grocery stores, liquor and beer stores will be closed or will operate with reduced hours. However, the Ontario government amended the Retail Business Holidays Act in April to allow more businesses to be open on the holiday, including LCBO stores. The LCBO said on its website it will open about 300 stores province-wide and to check location's hours.
Some Shoppers Drug Mart and Pharmasave pharmacy locations will be open — people are advised to call their location ahead of time before heading out.
