Concert + CHAMPAGNE: directly across the street from La Sainte‐Chapelle, the typical parisian brasserie Les Deux Palais welcome you for a historical and cultural moment. Drinking a glass of champagne in Les Deux Palais is a magical immersion into the French art of living in a sumptuous Belle-époque decoration.

Concert + WINE & TAPAS: stroll for about 15 minutes through the most extraordinary sites of Paris. Walk past the famous Cathedral of Notre‐Dame and cross the lovely Pont Saint‐Louis and Pont Saint‐Philippe to get to La Chope des Compagnons. This typical, refined yet relaxing brasserie directly by the river will offer you an excellent selection of wine and tapas in a traditional french atmosphere.

Being part of the Palais de Justice of Paris, a pre‐screening and a security control is required to enter the Sainte‐Chapelle.

Visitors must have a ticket to be able to pass this screening.

Artists

Orchestra: Les Solistes Français Les Solistes Français, directed by Paul Rouger, is a Parisian chamber orchestra which performs well over 100 concerts each year. The young members of the ensemble combine musical expertise with extraordinary enthusiasm for the repertoire they perform.
Soloist, Violin: Paul Rouger Paul Rouger is the violin soloist and Music Director of the Parisian instrumental ensemble Les Solistes Français. Rouger also performs frequently with other established ensembles, including Orchestre Colonne, and he is an active chamber musician.

La Sainte-Chapelle

La Sainte-Chapelle is a Gothic marvel built in the 13th century in the middle of Paris. The most famous church in the city after Notre-Dame, it welcomes around 900.000 visitors each year. The interior of the chapel offers an incomparable experience - the extraordinary number of stained glass windows, golden tracery, and stone sculptures create an atmosphere of unrestrained splendor. The pinnacle of Gothic architecture in France, la Sainte-Chapelle also houses the most extensive collection of stained glass in the world. More than 100 concerts take place in Sainte-Chapelle every year, and it is the most popular venue in the city for performances of Vivaldi and Mozart’s music. La Sainte-Chapelle's superb acoustics and ethereal ambience attract the best musicians in France, and further afield to perform within its colorful walls of light.

Die Musiker waren gut. Es ist o.k., dass sie berücksichtigen, dass ein Teil des Publikums kein klassisches Konzertpublikum ist, sondern vermutlich (auch) wegen der wunderschönen Atmosphäre der Sainte Chapelle gekommen ist. Allerdings ist zu fragen, ob man deshalb wirklich bewährte traditionelle Gepflogenheiten des Konzertbetriebs über Bord werfen muss. Muss man als Musiker wirklich nach fast jedem Satz den Applaus mehr oder weniger herausfordern? Und muss man z.B. Pachelbels Kanon noch einmal in den Schluss des Vivaldikonzerts einbauen? Mir erschien es sinnvoll, die Reihenfolge der ersten beiden Musikstücke zu verändern. Ich frage mich aber, kann man auf eine solche Idee nicht schon bei der Programmgestaltung kommen? Zum Organisatorischen: Wenn man die Besucher drängt, unbedingt schon eine Stunde vor Konzertbeginn am Eingang anwesend zu sein, sollte man den Eingang auch zu dieser Zeit öffnen und nicht erst deutlich später. Sehr störend war es, dass auch nach Konzertbeginn noch mehrfach verspätete (und wenig rücksichtsvolle) Besucher hereingelassen wurden. Insgesamt war es aber ein sehr schönes Erlebnis.

Very nice event. I loved being in La Sainte Chapelle and the music was perfect. The only drawback was the long line and security issues. I understand why these occur due to the Ministry of Justice Buildings being involved, but it was nonetheless a difficulty for attendees.

I thought the ambiance, location and concert were incredible. We were very sensitive to the location and the history of the Ste. Chapelle but having a concert in it made it all more special. I wish we had been given a program instead of having to purchase it. A simple piece of paper would have been acceptable just to know the names of the singer, orchestra and the contents of the program.

I was in Paris from the States with my mom, sister, and aunt and saw this recommendation on Rick Steve’s community bulletin board. The string quartet was incredibly talented. The music was incredible and the setting could not have been more perfect. The VIP seats were a perfect way to experience classical music in a truly beautiful setting. Follow the recommendation to get there early. I would go again if I ever get back to Paris—it was that magnificent.

サント・シャペルの入り口は閉まっており、他の入り口から入るので注意が必要です（人の列があるので何となくわかると思います）。 19時からのコンサートですが、季節によってはこの時間帯は既に暗くなりステンドグラスが楽しめないこともあると思いますので、時間があれば日中に見学しておいた方がいいかもしれません。（日が長い季節であれば問題ないと思います）。2012年秋の段階ではステンドグラスの半面が修復中でした。教会の修復は2014年まで予定されているそうです。
