It is Spring 2020 and London is quiet. Eerily so. The covid-19 respiratory virus has spread from China and has already killed thousands across the globe: now it has reached Britain, and the entire nation has gone into lockdown. Few people are leaving their homes; fewer still are going to work; and all but the most essential shops - supplying the likes of food and medicine - are closed.

Including iconic central London department store Harrods, a high-end boutique famed the world over for its luxury products, clientele - and price tags.

Paxton and Linda are caught right in the middle: their relationship having freshly crumbled, they're stuck living together and straining to maintain both civility and their respective states of mind. Whilst he's stuck in a dead end delivery-driving job owing to an unfortunately acquired criminal record during his wilder youth, she's a high-flying executive, UK boss of an international promotions firm serving luxury brands.

One such brand had just installed a new exhibition at Harrods, the centre piece of which is a £3 million diamond - and now it has to be stripped down, packed up, and the jewel shipped to New York. But will anyone really notice if it doesn't arrive?
