How to spend £30 at the Edinburgh Fringe

Expensive isn't it, the Fringe? What with those pesky opportunist landlords and those pesky twilight boozers.

London is Funny is sadly unable to intervene when it comes to sweeping rent controls, or alcohol licensing legislation, but LiF CAN help when it comes to having a cracking day of comedy without breaking the bank.

Behold the London is Funny Fringe day planners! (£50 article to come later this week)

The critically acclaimed Rachel Parris returns to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe with her adventurous new show Live In Vegas at the Pleasance Courtyard form 30 July to 25 August

Musical comedian Parris delivers her trademark comedy anthems and a hilarious set of new characters to present an alternative version of a glamorous Las Vegas show. Expect power ballads, big, brash and bold moves and a whole lot of sequins and glitter, not to mention characters galore. All this along with her dark unexpected wit and musical ditties makes her show as individual as the performer herself.

She was recently singled out as The Independent's One To Watch 2014 and has previously been among the Huffington Post's 50 Funniest Women on Twitter, Jason Manford's Top Ten Comedians and her previous solo show was TimeOut's Critic Choice. As an experienced performer, she is a founding member of the award-winning improv comedy show Austentatious - An Improvised Novel, staged her debut solo show The Commission to great acclaim at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in 2013 and at the prestigious Soho Theatre this Spring. She recently appeared in hit comedy play Death Ship 666 and in the highly anticipated IT Crowd Special (Channel 4) as Roy's grieving girlfriend. She can currently be seen on Sky Atlantic, as the new presenter of Thronecast.
