Roll up! Roll up! One and all... It's The Circus!

Every night, a line-up of the brightest sparks on the Fringe deliver big top performances in a raucous display of the wondrous, the grotesque and the comedically versatile. The traditional turns you know and love - with conjury and jeopardy by the bucket-load - re-imagined before your very eyes. Prepare yourselves for a hedonistic resurrection of a timeless cirque...

With a constantly revolving daily line-up, The Circus brings together spectacular theatrics, mesmeric showmanship, and razor-sharp character comedy. Within the stunning confines of Assembly George Square's Bosco Tent, bubbles a comedy show rich in tightly woven narrative, expertly devised character, pathos and jokes.

The Circus has been created by former stand-up-turned-televisual brains - Dan Atkinson. Atkinson was a core writer on five series of Russell Howard's Good News, and the main creative force behind Live At The Electric. Williams (Edinburgh Comedy Award Best Newcomer nominee) and Johnson (writer on BBC Three's Siblings) are the most exciting young comedy writing partnership in the county. The Circus also heavily features material created by the line-up of special guests.

Join our house band and ringmaster, for this year's late night, out of hand, monstrous, hullabaloo.
