Andi Osho on IMDb

Andi Osho is a British stand-up comedian, actor, and television presenter born in Plaistow, east London, to Nigerian parents.

Osho's career began behind the camera, in television production, but she turned her hand to live performance and acting in 2003, settling on comedy in 2006. During the early part of her career, she would work as a receptionist by day and go onstage in the evenings.

After a number of theatrical and television roles in shows such as Casualty, Doctors, and Sea Of Souls, she won the 2007 Nivea Funny Women award.

Osho has written for print, radio, film and TV for broadcasters such as Fox, BBC, and Sky. She wrote and starred in Twin Thing on Sky Arts] with Sharon Horgan's production company Merman Films, a comedy short about a ghost tour, and also created her own [c]E4 sketch pilot show The Andi Osho Show.

Osho co-hosted Tonightly on Channel 4] and has made regular appearances on Mock The Week and Ask Rhod Gilbert. From 2010 to 2013 she was a regular performer on the topical [c]Channel 4 stand-up comedy series Stand Up For The Week.

Osho has performed two sell-out solo shows at the Edinburgh Festival, appeared at the O2 arena in London and Just for Laughs in Montreal. She has also starred in two episodes of BBC One's prime-time stand-up show Live At The Apollo. From time to time she presents the comedy club section on BBC Radio 4 Extra.

In cinema, Osho has appeared in two David F. Sanberg films, Lights Out and Shazam!, as the same character: a social worker named Emma Glover.

As well as these roles in live comedy and television drama, Osho is also an accomplished playwright, and one of the founding members of the London writers' group, Vowel Movement. In 2008 she also co-wrote a scratch performance of the stage-play Up the Café de Paris at the Pulse Fringe Festival.

Osho is also the only person to have won more than one episode of Celebrity Mastemind, with specialist subjects of 1) The Matrix trilogy, and 2) host John Humphrys himself.
