15 Storeys High Series 1, Episode 6 - Dead Swan - British Comedy Guide (original) (raw)

The past comes back to haunt Vince. He is accused of a crime that could have him facing jail, but an archaic legal loophole means he might get off. Errol is suffering from a bout of vertigo.

Further details

A few years ago, Vince held up a swan that he says committed suicide and his then girlfriend Jill took a picture of it. When he finally gets his holiday photos developed at FlashySnaps, the police get involved and they don't believe Vince's version of events.

Vince's choice is between six months in jail or a half a day in stocks. Vince fancies himself as quite popular, but the size of the crowd that's gathered would suggest otherwise.

Notes

This episode's theme music is Tito Puente's On The Street Where You Live.

Dead Swan was originally the unbroadcast pilot. When the series was put on iPlayer in August 2021, the pilot version was initially put up by mistake. The only differences between this and the broadcast version were that the original unbroadcast version had a laugh track, no opening title sequence and slightly different end credits (they used a different font, and unlike in the broadcast version, Steven Wickham and Deborah O'Malley were credited).

This episode is dedicated to Will Murphy (1972-2002). He was the focus puller on this episode.
