Series 1 (2007)

In the first series we get to meet the holiday makers for the first time. A hidden pregnancy, a faltering marriage, and fraud are just three of the many problems encountered during this first holiday.

Series 2 (2008)

A year later, all the holiday makers are back at the Solana Resort for more sun, sand and all-inclusive drinks. There were a couple of additional holiday makers tagging along this time too: Telle's baby Coolio, and Granny Madge's new 'boyfriend' Mel, who is the owner of five sunbed shops and Didsbury's answer to Julio Iglesias.

Summer Special (2009)

The 2009 summer special cleared up all the un-answered questions from the Series 2 finale. Will Mel come out his coma? Will Mick be left stranded in jail? Will Janice run off with handsome waiter Jack? Will The Oracle ever reach dry land? At this point the show switched from half-hour episodes to hour long adventures.

Series 3 (2009)

Set one year after the hostage situation, the third series saw the characters take up the offer of a free holiday given to them by the Solana Resort. Martin seemingly returns without wife Kate, choosing instead to bring a mystery loud scouser as his holiday companion. Meanwhile, Mel is busy setting up a new shop...

Christmas Special (2010)

It is Christmas on the Costa Blanca and the Garveys are staying with Mel and Madge in their luxury hilltop villa - but will Mel make it back from a business trip in time for Christmas dinner?

Series 4 (2011)

Madge is in financial trouble. Meanwhile, Les becomes a member of staff and invites his teenage son Liam to holiday at the resort. There's a whiff of a Benidorm holiday romance brewing for Liam who takes an immediate shine to new girl Natalie, but her friend Sam has other ideas. Also on the poolside are Gavin's new holiday companion Kenneth, and Noreen's daughter Pauline.

Series 5 (2012)

The holidaymakers get a shock as the Solana resort gets a new manager... and she means business! Joyce Temple Savage is on a mission to upgrade the Solana resort into a 4 star hotel - at all costs.

Series 6 (2014)

A sixth series in the Spanish sun kicked off bright and early in 2014. It introduced a new family - the Dykes from Watford.

Series 7 (2015)

Series 7 launched with a big departure - the Garveys were off home. As The Garveys flew out, The Oracle, his mother Noreen and former manager Janey York landed in the Solana resort again.

Series 8 (2016)

New characters in the 8th series included The Dawson Family, pretty staff member Amber and Tiger's friend Joey Ellis. This series also saw characters including Troy and Pauline returning after a number of series away.

Liam and Sam return, and the Dawsons arrive for a new holiday that doesn't get off to a great start. Meanwhile could Joyce Temple Savage finally find romance this series?
