Further details
In this episode, they travel to the UK's most popular holiday destination, Cornwall, to discover whether Brits still love to be besides the seaside. Despite attracting 5 million tourists each year, the region is still labelled as a backward, unwelcoming, second home haven where life's a beach. Keen to explore the real Cornwall, our trio ditch cream teas for trucker breakfasts, before Fern learns how the locals ride the waves from a septuagenarian surfing sensation, while the boys discover Cornwall isn't just welcoming tourists, it's also home to some of the world's most advanced robots.
If that wasn't progressive enough, Fern and Ivo meet one of Cornwall's first openly gay farmers, while Darren is beyond excited to cook authentic Caribbean cuisine with an actual Jamaican person and Ivo shows off his Newsnight credentials by meeting a local politician on the campaign trail. Their adventure ends with a Cornish language lesson, where they learn to count and what 'bramm an gath' means.
