An awkward encounter with a local artist, Frank, commissioned by Rachel to paint a Jessop family portrait, leads to Sue buying a swimming pool to help her recover from her hip replacement.

As Paul struggles with a month-long family detox set by Amy, and Rachel attempts to 'fix' Frank's painting, in which she is convinced he deliberately made her look older, the pool is accidentally ruined on its maiden voyage.

To make matters worse, Frank suddenly demands his painting back to include in a small exhibition. Hiding out at Cherry's new Salsa class, Rachel and Paul decide to pluck up the courage to deal with Frank, the pool and the detox in one evening.
