Moone Boy - Series 3, Episode 2 - The Plunder Years - British Comedy Guide (original) (raw)
Sick of being caught between two warring parents, Padraic goes on the run with Martin. Crunchie Haystacks struggles to cope, too.
Further details
Poor Padraic. It's no fun being caught between warring parents, even if Mum does pack up a whole Viennetta for your lunch by way of an apology. But, sometimes, a young man needs to escape his parental woes and seek solace in his best friend's wardrobe. Cue a manhunt when Padraic's parents, Pat and Paddy, don't know where he's got to.
As a troubled Pad turns to a life of crime and takes up shoplifting, eagerly abetted by Martin, Crunchie Haystacks drowns his sorrows in booze, forcing his friends to stage an intervention: "Do you think this is what Padraic had in mind when he picked you as his imaginary friend, an old wrestler in a baby grow drinking shoe sick?"
Debra, meanwhile, is inspired by Pat and Paddy's rocky patch and leaves the weightloss industry behind to launch a new career as a marriage counsellor.
