It's Friday and Frank is nowhere to be seen, which is a bit odd as it's Giro day. He never goes missing on Giro day. The family start a manhunt and panic sets in when a body is found in the canal. But Frank turns up in Calais with no passport and no clue as to how he got there.

Fiona gets suspicious when she notices that her new fella Steve is smoking fancy French fags. Veronica and Kev do a booze cruise to Calais to pick Frank up and the three return to a heroes' welcome on the estate.

But Frank knows everyone is taking the piss out of him and walks out of the Gallagher house. He meets Eddie who has left his wife. Never one to miss a chance, Frank is straight round to Sheila's who is sex-mad, raking in the benefits and lonely. But he soon discovers there's a price to pay for home comforts, and that Sheila has years of pent-up sexual desire to unleash. It's a lesson that leaves Frank feeling pretty sore!
