Still Game - Series 5, Episode 4 - Hard Nuts - British Comedy Guide (original) (raw)
Navid's mid-life crisis leaves him compelled to dye his hair, gamble and dance badly - much to Meena's amusement. Meanwhile the crew from TV show Blighty's Hardest Pubs visit the Clansman and Bobby promises them a bar brawl.
Further details
Navid decides that the time has come for him to change his lifestyle, so he starts by dying his hair black.
Meanwhile Leo Miller, a TV director, asks Bobby if can can film in the Clansman as he has heard that it is a really 'hard' pub. Bobby goes round Craiglang asking local neds and some of the regulars if they will come into the pub to be filmed for the TV programme, which is called Blighty's Hardest Boozers. They stage a 'hard act' in the pub which is totally unconvincing to the TV director.
Unfortunately for Bobby, one of the 'fake' hard men in the pub turns out to be a 'real' hard man. Bobby is taken outside and given a good thumping... which is great for the TV crew to film!
As the regulars sit in the Clansman watching the TV programme go out, Bobby is in bandages. Outside we see about 50 motorcycles descend on the Clansman with an intention of seeing how hard the pub really is!
