In a desperate attempt to make his problems disappear, Adam digs himself into an even bigger hole. But when dealing with a life and death emergency in A&E, he has a small window of opportunity to make amends.

Meanwhile, Shruti is excited to meet a potential mentor in the form of no-nonsense consultant, Miss Houghton. But when she opens up to Miss Houghton about her troubles at work she doesn't get the advice she expected, and is left feeling more lost than ever.
