COMP Year 2 Students Win Top Honours at HackTheEast 2026

Five Year 2 undergraduate students from the Department of Computing achieved outstanding results at HackTheEast 2026, one of Hong Kong’s largest student-led inter-university AI hackathons, held from 28 February to 1 March 2026. HackTheEast 2026 was a hackathon where participants designed, implemented, and demonstrated functional AI solutions to address real-world challenges across all domains, including education, finance, legal, and insurance.

We are proud to announce that Ir WONG Chi‑kwong, Tony, JP, has been awarded the Outstanding PolyU Alumni Award 2025.
