The saga of Orlando City's Duncan McGuire looks to be drawing to a conclusion as his move to Blackburn Rovers is back on.
The 22-year-old USA international was en route to Rovers on Wednesday night only for the Ewood Park club to say the £2.3million deal was off.
Sheffield Wednesday stepped in for talks but Blackburn returned with a new offer of a loan with fee - but also willing to pay Orlando a higher buy option than was previously agreed.
Orlando and Blackburn had previously agreed a transfer early on Wednesday morning and McGuire flew to England. However, while he was in transit, Blackburn pulled out.
Today, as McGuire was talking to Wednesday and other interested parties, Blackburn made a new proposal and he is now hoping to finalise terms pending his medical.

In his first professional season, McGuire scored 15 goals in 37 appearances for Orlando City
McGuire has only played one professional season with the Major League Soccer club, but he's made a significant impact.
He played four years of college soccer at Creighton University in Nebraska - bagging 28 goals in 55 appearances.
But in his first year as a pro, McGuire scored a total of 15 goals in 37 matches - including 13 goals in 29 league games.
McGuire just made his debut for the USMNT in January in a 1-0 loss to Slovenia. He's expected to be a part of the United States' Olympic team playing in Paris this summer.
