Man dies after shooting in Chesapeake, police investigating (original) (raw)

CHESAPEAKE — A man died after being shot multiple times Saturday afternoon in Chesapeake, according to police.

Officers with the Chesapeake Police Department responded to the 900 block of Providence Road at approximately 4:30 p.m. on June 6 following multiple reports of gunshots in the area.

When officers arrived, they found an adult male suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was transported to a local hospital but later died from his injuries, police said.

Investigators have not identified any suspects, and no arrests have been announced.
