"The family behind Taj Prestwick, proudly serving the community since 1981, is bringing the same award-winning experience to Kilmarnock with a little twist!"
One of Ayrshire's most famous restaurants has announced plans to open a new venue.
The family behind Prestwick's Taj have revealed they're behind a plan to open in the town centre.
With 35 years of culinary experience under its belt, The Taj is an iconic name in Ayrshire and beyond.
Taj Cafe Kilmarnock posted: "Exciting news for food lovers in Kilmarnock!
"The family behind Taj Prestwick, proudly serving the community since 1981, is bringing the same award-winning experience to Kilmarnock with a little twist!
"This new restaurant is being opened by the very same family, with the same talented chefs and the same authentic recipes that have made Taj a favourite for 45 years. Every dish will be prepared with the same passion, quality ingredients, and attention to detail that generations of customers have come to know and love.
"Whether you're already a loyal Taj customer or discovering us for the first time, we can't wait to welcome you and share the flavours that have been at the heart of our family business since 1981.
"Kilmarnock, get ready for exceptional food, warm hospitality, and a dining experience built on decades of tradition.
"Opening very soon – watch this space for updates!"
The Taj will take over at the Caffe Sala, which announced plans to close earlier this week.
Bosses have already taken over the Queen Street restaurant's Facebook page to announce the news.
The Taj will have competition a matter of yards away with Brown Munde just across the road.
