A car has flipped on a busy Edinburgh road following a collision which has caused traffic chaos. The incident was first reported at around 2.45pm on Wednesday afternoon on Slateford Road.
Images from the scene show a black vehicle on its roof, with a Scottish Fire and Rescue vehicle also on the scene. The condition of those involved is not currently known, reports Edinburgh Live.
Motorists were told to allow for delays, with 'long queues' both ways. Edinburgh Travel News posted on X: "RTC on Slateford Road west of Robertson Avenue.
"Please allow for delays and potential diversions. Long queues / delays both ways on Slateford Road and on Robertson Avenue and Shandon Place."
Multiple Lothian Bus services have also been affected and diversions are in place for the 4, 34, 44, 35 and 22.
A service alert for the 4, 34 and 44 reads: "Due to a road closure buses are unable to serve Slateford Road and are instead diverted via Chesser Avenue, Gorgie Road, Stenhouse Drive, Stevenson Drive, Balgreen Road, Gorgie Road and Robertson Avenue in both directions until further notice."
Police Scotland has been approached for comment.
