Paralympian cyclist and swimmer Dame Sarah Storey has been 'revealed' as the fourth celebrity joining the Strictly Come Dancing 2026 line-up, according to reports

The newest Strictly Come Dancing contestant is reportedly a celebrated Paralympian. Dame Sarah Storey is believed to be the fourth famous face confirmed for this year's series.

Her announcement comes after EastEnders actress Lacey Turner, Love Island star Dani Dyer and musician Delta Goodrem were unveiled. Sarah enters the popular BBC dancing competition as Britain's most successful Paralympian in history.

The sporting icon is reportedly "delighted" about joining the line-up and "really excited to be learning a new skill" before the programme launches later this year.

An insider revealed to The Sun: "She is obviously very competitive and hopes to give the contest her all, while letting viewers get to know her personality. She's also keen to embrace the glamour of the show and is looking forward to getting dressed up."

She'll join the ranks of Paralympians including Jonnie Peacock, Will Bayley, Jody Cundy and Ellie Simmonds who've previously tackled the competition. The news arrives as viewers were caught off guard this week by the early contestant reveals, reports the Mirror.

The BBC programme typically begins its announcements from August, however this year, the names have emerged sooner. Lacey Turner kicked things off earlier this week.

The Stacey Slater star commented: "I am so excited to being making my way to the dance floor this year to be a part of Strictly!

"I am a huge fan and can't quite believe I will be taking part and not watching at home this year! I look forward to meeting everyone and learning a new skill!"

Dani's comeback has left the reality television personality delighted. Danny Dyer's daughter commented: "I am so excited to be back in the ballroom this September!

"I just cannot wait to get my dancing shoes back on and hopefully this time around I can actually make it to week one!

"I'm just over the moon and cannot wait to find out who else is doing it!" Dani pulled out last year through injury before the programme even started, and there had been hopes she'd return once more. And Delta is equally enthusiastic.

The BBC programme returns during Autumn and Winter. It will represent the first series since presenters Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman departed the show.

Following a considerable wait, Tess and Claudia's successors were revealed.

Bosses have chosen a trio of hosts. Audiences will see Johannes Radebe, Josh Widdecombe and Emma Willis step into the presenting roles.
