Melodic atmospheric black metal band Wiking 1940 releases its latest album, W, on April 28, 2020, but has allowed one track, “Acquainted with the dead,” to escape in advance. This solitary song shows a melodic yet recursive style similar to Infamous or Rotting Christ.

Wiking 1940 is an act I would generously describe as some genuinely confused crap. Even adjusting for the fact that they have a session member named Lord Himmler, they’re still really effeminate.
