LiteratureDumbo and the Circus Kids - Charles We start the story were we see a big bail of hay with a dark red newsboy cap sticking out and a head came up under it, it was an African American boy with glasses. His name was Charles and he was on the run, he then noticed the WDP circus tent and he gets out of the hay with his little hobo stick and heads there. Unbeknownst to him, his footsteps were waking up Prudence, Edmond and Ellie. The three saw his shadow and followed it too the elephant tent were they saw Charles asleep in the elephant's hay...fearing that he'll wake the elephants, Edmond and Ellie picks him up and takes him out with Prudence handling his hobo stick.
