While Amitie and Ringo both fire off their first spells when they get a 3 chain, Arle fires off her second spell. This is because Arle has a unique chant order: she casts her first spell when she hits a 2 chain, while most other characters only start casting spells when they get a 3 chain or higher. This is done to squeeze in a little reference to the dungeon crawlers she originates from: her 4 chain chant uses her repeater "Diacute", which in the dungeon crawlers is a spell that boosts the power of the next spell that is casted. This spell triggers an audio effect that stutters the chant of the boosted spell, which can be heard in her 5 chain chant. Since "Diacute" is Arle's repeater, she chants this liberally while using the fever ruleset. The reference is preserved: whenever she fires off a spell in a chain where she has already chanted the repeater, the stuttering effect is applied. Furthermore, the number of times the effect is applied is equal to the number of times the repeater has been chanted, so if the spell "Bayoen" is fired after 3 chants of "Diacute", the chant becomes "B-B-B-Bayoen". The counter is reset whenever a spell is fired off. This is very apparent in practice mode, where you are able to rewind time. If you go into practice mode, fire off a 15 chain, and rewind to the last chant, the effect will not be applied at all. None of this affects gameplay.
