The Lighthouse Attic

The Lighthouse Attic The ghost of old Gibraltar Point, rumor has it, has now taken possession of the Lighthouse proper and neighboring grounds: as nowadays his keeper's cottage - with it's attic - no longer exists. Dry, dry: Parched like a bleached bone, like the femur the following minder found; dug-up, at the time without motive, found; - near the attic - when it existed. Thirsty, the ghost walks so thirsty, sailor-like: fresh on shore-leave, like a soldier; long drunk on memory, solace found: a bootlegged bottle - in the attic - if it existed. The ghost of old Gibraltar Point, now taken forgranted, walks up the stairs dryly, now taken true and told, again and again: exists and thirsts: what was lost, - like the attic - what still persists?
