Happy Valentines Day Everyone! I had this old wedding sketch laying around and I thought it would be nice to finish it this year.
I have a lot of gay pairings, but I’ve always thought Ren and Stimpy were truly canon. They aren’t perfect by any means, but to stay together despite all the hardships, it really shows just how close they really are and that they’re willing to work the worst of it out. True love takes time and understanding. I wanted this picture to show that. The line and theme is inspired by what the creator had to say about them when questioned if they were together.
You don’t have to agree with me of course, but I hope those of you like this for what it is.
I have a little story about this concept under the cut, but you don’t have to read it.

Ren and Stimpy had a private wedding, so private in fact that they were the only two involved. Ren has shown several times that he cares about Stimpy, but tries keeping it secret in public. Part of him is probably worried about what others would think. They even had a running gag at one point where random strangers would peep into their house just as he and Stimpy were doing something intimate. So naturally he would want to keep their marriage a secret as well. How you might ask?
Stimpy is a priest. He’s canonly been shown holding weddings twice in the show (three if you count one of the storybook episodes). You can argue it was just for comedic value, but here’s where I make my point.
Stimpy held his own wedding with Ren, in the comfort of their own home, away from peeping eyes because it’s none of their business.
I did look into this and it’s illegal for a priest to marry themselves, but Ren has broken the law several times and will find a way around it to get his way.
Bonus points if Stimpy’s one drive to become a priest was just for Ren so that he wouldn’t get uncomfortable with a public wedding.
