A day ago while sitting outside my house, just contemplating I noticed something on the column. It was a Cocoon, suddenly I was panic stricken thinking what if someone accidentally brushes against it and it falls off? So I placed a silly sing on the Column for the passers to be careful. This morning on August 20, 2010 at exactly 8:18am I came out and saw the Cocoon had hatched. The little fella was still summoning its strength to take flight and even tho the weather was great the winds were strong and threatened to carry it away. I sat an hour with my hands around it every time the wind blew, this little guy was tipsy and clumsy for an hour, sort of made me giggle bitterly. Reminding me how we all need someone to lift us up..to guide us to protect us. Eventually after the hour had passed he took flight. But within that hour of me sitting there I took some pictures like this one, luckily my camera got fixed (had a little accident with it) I hope you guys like it, and remember if you can't help someone don't make it worse on them.
