Day of the Deads by abosz007 on DeviantArt (original) (raw)
Nice Halloween Topic?
Not for Lyo.
He does nooot celebrate the day of deads because who knows if his enemies return to life. (max get horridly drunk)
Since he gone back to sea lately, he has returning nightmares of the day when he died, drowned in the sea after a hopeless battle against Pirate hunters.
Who had a voodoo priest aboard. Today it is his turn to tell his story about Lyo, the most capricious pirate he came across.
Abadan will never forget the day when the dead captain returned to revenge his ship and crew in the most cruel way he could imagine.
**
It was either the fifth week, or the fifth month...too stoned to pay attention.... we had been chasing the stolen ship of his majesty...HMS Cormorant.
"Lovingly" renamed the Crocus. They said she sunk on christmas eve when she caught fire..the crew not paying attention. My captain says otherwise.
The crew indeed, did not pay attention and got drunker than drunk, practically watching their ship sail away under someone else's command.
Luck..... Luck it must had been to find such an easy prey, and Luck it must had been that none of my curses had an effect on this bloody ship.
I summoned a storm...but their navigator must have skills from another world to sail out of that hurricane....
I casted the plague upon them....but their captain seemed to be immune and his god damn fetish to send his men with soap overboard kept me mindblown for decades.
I made sure they would have no more people left to stand a second attack after our first approach....but they had to have a better surgeon than King George himself.
I tried eeevverything to cut this damn pirate's luck finally, to break him, to bend to those he can not beat.
One morning they made a turn, they decided not to escape anymore. I don't know what drove the crew to believe in this suicide action at all...
Granted, i rarely came across a pirate crew with gunners like them. Bunch of savages turned out to be schooled officers and seamen.
They blew quite some holes into our lady before we could take their ship. They awaited us with swords, skilled swordsmen...and women. I could not believe my ears
to have heard one of their female officers take down a bunch of our men. What a shame for them. I was keen on fighting their captain, i wanted to KNOW
what sort of man that is having such a ....."illustrious" company of gentlemen sailing below his flag. His -people- fought like he was the personification of all their visions.
I constantly had a feeling like they had a lion aboard, but when i got jump-attacked from behind i received the answer why: Their captain was the lion.
he commanded them with his roar and attracted them with his regal appearance and impressive speeches. I could feel his thick aura covering easily that of everyone
around. Am i perverted to say it got me all excited to know this would be the day i feel him die? Yes i might be.
That battle feels longer than it probably was, but the sound of his scream filling the air was the most satisfying thing on earth.
He was way smaller than i expected him to be, but gravity was not his friend either way when he landed below deck in the shivers of his battered ship.
Suddenly i heard the steely hisses of the blades from the ongoing swordfight dim down. They were defeated, half dead each of them.
When we dragged up their leader he had the nerve to throw ridiculous cursewords at us..."Horse dick up your ass". Seriously he must be from a horse nation.
The blood trail he left behind almost made no difference from the mess that laid there anyways. He insisted to walk on his own.
If i could have chosen one moment in life to be cured from my blindness, i'd have chosen the moment when he walked the plank on his own ship.
The dying crew watching. Crying. Begging. Wishing that god may be with him.
Well i was sure the cannon balls in his pockets were enough to pull him down all the way to hell x)
Before his body gave in, he swore at my noble Captain these last words:
I will make your life to hell
Your days to nightmares
death to your desire.
Unfortunately. He managed to make it real.
