WAYA-HIME from Shiftylook's BRAVOMAN, inked by AdamWarren on DeviantArt (original) (raw)

Behold, the B&W line art for a piece I drew for an :iconudoncrew: tribute book tying in to the fine Shiftylook webcomic Bravoman by writer :iconmattmoylan: and artist :icond-gee:, which you can see here: shiftylook.com/comics/bravoman…

Anyhoo, this is Bravoman's wacky ninja princess "Waya-Hime," who seemed an obvious choice of character for me to draw. Why, you might ask (but probably aren't)? Well, my own property, the "sexy superhero comedy" Empowered, just happens to feature an occasionally wacky ninja princess as well! (See below.)

Sadly, my inking tools just would not cooperate for this illo; my usual ink of choice, Koh-I-Noor Ultradraw mixed with Higgins Black Magic, just would not flow adequately from my (maru-type) pen-tip. So, I was forced to use Fine and Extra-Fine Sharpies to ink it, with a little bit of Micron Pigma pen used for some of the finer details. Worked out decently, I think, considering the difficulties involved.
