Description

Starfleet was testing a new weapon system called the Hydroxide Particle Cannon. Starfleet discovered a crystal that was named Hydro-Fugi 437, and when electricity was sent through caused it to emit a violent stream of hydroxide ions that creates a highly corrosive acid that had an after effect of burning through material it touched. A simple layer of teflon lined the inside of the barrels to compress the particle stream into a tight beam. The results was a power output of 150 megajoules a speed of .986c and a range of 80km.
