I don't know how your govermental system works with conscription and what not, but I think; had you gotten the backing to start, this could have easily made a great manga series (like black lagoon(?))

you have great drawing skills, as well as shading/toning skils
on top of that, you have the patience to make sure that your works maintain their quality
