Happy Easter!! I really wanted to upload something but I'm behind on schoolwork, have social engagements and actively working on ATs. I looked in my unfinished projects pile and settled on finishing this one. I always want to say that it's something I started last year, but then I always realise that 2021 is already 2 years ago. I wanted to draw a double but I couldn't find the reference I was looking for Kenneth's facial expression so I left it at one. If I do end up coming across it I'll change it and make a double out of the DA.

I had this scene in my mind where it was Kenny's turn to wear that horrendous old suit from (Great-)Grandpa Max. To me, the suit appears to be a family heirloom and every male Tennyson family member has to wear it at some point in their life. Max loves and is very proud of it but all his descendants are horrified haha. So at this point, Max wore it, followed by Frank, Carl, Ken, Ben and Devlin. Ben upholds this tradition but I think it's more for seeing his son "suffer" or be embarrassed by it, hey if he had to wear it so does his son . I'm pretty sure this has been the mentality of all Tennyson men, except for Max.

STORY

"Dad, why do I need to wear this stupid suit for the reception? Like, isn't there anything else I can wear?" Kenneth said in an embarrassed manner. The young boy looked up and down in the mirror and added "Forget it! I'm NOT going looking like this!" he said in a louder tone. "I'd make a total fool of myself!" he said. Having gained his father's attention he turned around and crossed his arms with a determined facial expression. His father paused and put his hand on his son's shoulder before squatting down, "Kenny" he said, "This suit is a Tennyson heirloom and all Tennyson men have worn it, now it's your turn. Wearing this suit with pride shows the character we Tennyson men are known for having. Your great-grandpa, grandpa, uncles, cousin and I have worn this suit.". Kenneth's facial expression started to change as if he understood and saw the pride in wearing this suit. His father quickly followed "... besides, if I had to wear it so do you!" before standing up and rubbing his hand through his son's hair. Kenneth's second of pride vanished like snow in the son, "Geez, thanks a lot dad." he said grumpily. "You'll survive." his father said playfully before walking to the elevator followed by giggles. When he turned around he realised they came from his father, mother and sister who were all waiting for him so they could leave. "Worst. Day. Ever." he said before joining them.
