Early in my career, I got a commission to do a robot-looking machine, based on a trend sweeping Japan, called "Mechas"

This was the first of 3 of the series, and, not giving it much thought, I sold the art for all three commissions-I noticed they went very fast.

It turned out to be a major trend here. Battledroids became Battletech, one of the most popular games of the 1980's.

I revisited the Mechas in the 00's, with the covers of the A-Kon anime convention program books "Pirates vs. Ninjas" and "Ai-Ko vs. the Killer Robots"
