Description

Sheep are creatures not renowned for their intelligence, and this is frequently demonstrated when they wander aimlessly along the busy A542 road at Bwlch Oernant in north Wales without any care for the passing traffic. Known as Horseshoe Pass in English because of its shape as it winds around the sides of the valley, Bwlch Oernant (Pass of the Cold Stream) rises to a maximum of 417 metres (1,368 feet) between Llandegla and Llangollen.
