I also managed to custom paint my Voyager First Edition Optimus Prime from Transformers Prime. Mainly all of the ugly grey parts were painted silver thoroughly as well as the inside of the fenders. His trailer hitch and the pseudo one in his left leg were both painted silver so they have a similar color and blend in better. The sword was painted silver while the blue blade was left alone and the gun was drybrushed in silver with some blue in the barrel ends. I also painted the windshield roof and window rims to be silver. I didnt' bother to paint the doors or the rear lights and might update those someday. Looks very good and I always thought this was one of the finest and most accurate Transformers figures out there and my repaint makes it even more enjoyable.

I don't think you might've read the IDW comic series (maybe you have) but if you look closer in return of queen chrysalis part 2, jim the cave troll has an optimus prime looking toy made out of stone and moss, on his rock ledge in one of the panels.
